My aunt passed away quite fast in February after a short battle with that ugly "C" word and it left us all quite shocked and heart broken. What really cuts me to the core is the house we are now living in is the house she came home from the hospital to when she was born. The house she spent every summer since I can remember painting. The house she cleaned every week. Just so many memories.
Since June I have been taking what I have placed in the store and scrapping with my own elements and papers for the month before. So I did no different this month and had quite a nice time getting the October addition ready even though a few tears fell in the process. I used photos I had from my aunt in the scrap pages I made this month and found some things I knew she would have liked in this kit and throughout this entire month in the element packs, paper pack, alphas and even the clipart that I placed into the store.
During October began this huge ordeal that would start in the bottom where me and my family life. All the lights going up that would only change colors with the holiday from October 1st to January 1st. The decorations in the trees, the bows tied every where, blow up things in the yard...I mean if you can think it, more than likely my aunt was putting it up. She loved it all and this year is really hurting already because even though we all put her stuff out, it just didn't seem the same this month. So i did my thing and worked it out in scrapping...
Here are just a few things I put together in honor of my aunt and the times during the month of October from the past. I hope everyone can find the kit and all the other things from the store as
helpful as I did in working through my emotions.
While stopping by my section in the store, don't forget to go over to the forum and play a little challenge with me that will be going up on the 10th called "Mix and Match Your Life". You'll
get a nice little prize for playing and I can't wait to keep adding to my "It's A Good Life Collection".
So that's it guys. LET'S GET YOUR SCRAPPIN' ON...shall we!!!
