Why Scrapbooking? with QueenBrat Designs

Hello! Welcome back to my blog series on 'Why Scrapbooking?'

Today let's explore one of the biggest reasons to scrapbook....Your photos deserve a real life home!

Our cell phones are a great asset in our busy lives to make sure tha t we document all of those important moments, but our pictures weren't meant to live on our phones. Yes, I am very guilty of this myself. My phone has over 2000 pictures on it at this very moment!

Because it's important to not lose those memories that are stored on your cell phone, I am going to coordinate this post in my blog series with this months forum challenge. Let's save those cell phone pictures so they are not lost forever in a phone accident. And, then let's scrap some of the moments you have saved in your pictures. I also want to point out for those of us that are 'pre-cell phone era' all of those boxes of pictures that you have hidden in your closets and under your beds are important too. Yes, guilty here! Those too deserve a real home so they can be enjoyed by your children and grandchildren in the future.

With Mother's Day and Father's Day fast approaching this would be a great time to put together a photobook with some of your photos as a gift.

This one falls into shoebox pictures although I actually have this framed and hanging at my desk. It was taken in the late 70's. This is my Dad and an unknown child (see why we need to scrap our pictures?). My grandmother had this picture in her shoebox stash and I inherited it when she passed. Unfortunately everyone in our family who could identify this child is now gone. I used my scrap kit DEAR DADDY for the layout. This one is a cell phone picture. This is my beautiful mother and I included a poem as my journaling. If you look closely you will see a date in the right bottom corner. Dates are a great thing to add as it will help others know when the picture was taken in the future. I used my scrap kit M IS FOR MOTHER for this layout.
