Q&A With Karen Schulz How long have you been designing? I started designing in 2010. Where do you call home? I live with my husband and dog, Stella, near Yosemite National Park. After having lived in the city my entire life, this has been a very welcome change. Your favorite toy as a child was? It's a toss up between my Chatty Cathy Doll and a red rock that I found in the desert. The doll was the first "talking" doll, which was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The rock was red and white speckled, with a very smooth texture. I guess I liked color and texture even as a child. What movie could you quote the best? "Gone With the Wind" I dreamed of being Scarlett O'Hara when I was 16. Now? Not so much. What is your favorite thing to do to relax? Anything with my hands - painting a piece of furniture, crafting of some sort, or any type of sewing.
