Q&A With Aimee Harrison
Where do you call home?
I
call Grand Rapids, Michigan home. I love living here. I grew up here
but I moved in my twenties and fifteen years ago I came back. We really
enjoy nature here in Michigan and spend lots of time hiking and
gardening in the summer.
Who is a very special person in your life?
My
partner, Tyler, is pretty special. We met in 3rd grade as children and
lost touch for 30 years. Then we were reunited in 2015 and knew
instantly we wanted to be together. We are very well suited. We both
love intellectual pursuits and spending time enjoying them together.
What is your favorite thing to do to relax?
My
favorite thing to do to relax is read fanfiction. I discovered it about
15 years ago and have read it ever since. I like that there are new
stories all the time with my favorite book and movie characters. It is
so much fun and the perfect bit of fluff for relaxing.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Anthropology,
or more specifically, Archaeology. I studied that at University and
went on excavations and was even the President of our local chapter of
the Michigan Archaeological Society for a few years! It was always a
passion. Still is. But I had to give up a lot of stuff when my
Narcolepsy got too bad and Archaeology was one of those things.
