Let’s welcome Aimee Harrison as this week’s Featured Designer! Q&A With The Designer: Aimee Harrison 1. Your favorite toy as a child was? When I was a little girl, my favorite toys were my Fisher Price Little People and their extra bits like the farm, parking garage and dollhouse. I spent hours upon hours building apartment buidings and playing everywhere in the house, including the Christmas tree where they lived on the branches. Good times LOL. 2. Aside from the necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? I currently could not live without my Kindle. I read it when I am not working and it gives me the perfect mental vacation. 3. What is your favorite thing to do to relax? Read. I like to both read books and listen to them. I mostly read fan fiction and listen to classics. My favorite classics besides anything by Jane Austen is North and South by Elizabeth Gaskill. 4. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I think as I grow older I would like to live closer to the ocean and closer to the equator. I live in Michigan and I am spoiled by being close to Lake Michigan and I adore our summers, but I could do without more than a week of winter. LOL. 5. What is your favorite book? I have several favorite books but one that is at the top of my list is Roots by Alex Haley. I read it in high school and remember staying up all night to read until I had to “wake” up for school. I could not put it down and when I finished it I was so overcome with emotion that I will never forget how it made me feel. I get choked up just thinking about it.
